The Numero Group-- the label focused on obscurities and reissues-- will celebrate its tenth birthday with a special installment of its Eccentric Soul release series celebrating undiscovered soul music from the past. Eccentric Soul: Omnibus, as it's titled, will include 45 (45!) seven inch singles in a box set.
Out on October 23, this marks the 45th release in the Numero catalog. It'll be packaged in a custom Numero-patterned 45 box along with a clothbound hardback book detailing the histories of each act included in the set. Over on the Numero Group's website, they're announcing one new single every day, with sound clips.
We've got one of the tracks from the box set, North Carolina act Duracha's "Ghet-to Funk", above. (It was sampled on People Under the Stairs' 2002 track "The Dig".) Watch a video detailing the box set, below.
