Ghostface Killah Details New Album, Executive Produced by RZA, Shares First Single

Back in the fall, Ghostface Killah announced he'd release a new studio album, Twelve Reasons to Die, in November through fellow Wu-Tang member RZA's label Soul Temple. The album, a collaboration with the producer/composer Adrian Younge, and executive produced by RZA himself, is now slated for release April 16. They've shared the first single, "The Rise of the Ghostface Killah", for free download. This follows Ghostface's 2010 album, Apollo Kids.

According to a press release, Twelve Reasons is a "crime/horror concept album" accompanied by a six-issue comic book series that will be collected into a graphic novel. It will be available on several CD, vinyl, and cassette formats. (Ghostface's 1996 solo debut, Ironman, is also getting a deluxe reissue this month.) Ghostface and Younge will also tour this spring, starting at SXSW.

In related news, Ghostface has offered yet another update on his long in-progress collaboration with DOOM, DOOMSTARKS. It was apparently near complete in September, but in a new video update, below, Ghostface speaks of finally getting to project "off the fuckin floor" when the two rappers met up recently in Amsterdam.
