Last week, Pitchfork.tv caught up with the legendary John Cale for an interview surrounding his recent appearances at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Cale performed two nights of his 1973 landmark Paris 1919, as well as a tribute to Nico. (Cale produced her 1969 record The Marble Index.)
In this interview, the pink-haired Cale discusses The Marble Index, Throbbing Gristle's Desertshore record, Iggy Pop, and Sharon Van Etten's unique performance at the BAM Nico tribute.
