Yeasayer's European tour in support of their recent album Fragrant World was originally scheduled to begin September 16, but the band wrote on Twitter today that the tour has been postponed until November and December. The delay is "due to family reasons," the band wrote, clarifying, "We are all okay + thank u 4 your patience!"
Likely related, on Monday the band said on Twitter, "We'd like to congratulate [multi-instrumentalist] Anand Wilder + his wife Jo on giving birth to their beautiful new baby girl on Sat.!!! Show news soon."
Last week, Yeasayer postponed shows in Carrboro, Atlanta, and Boston. The band's show tonight at Central Park Summerstage in NYC is still on, though.
After the postponed dates, watch the band play "Wait for the Wintertime" on Pitchfork.tv's "Don't Look Down" series.
