Last year, Fat Possum released the impressive self-titled debut from Melody's Echo Chamber, aka French pop singer Melody Prochet (with Tame Impala's Kevin Parker producing). A deeper cut on the record, "IsThatWhatYouSaid", took one of Prochet's song-based compositions and reversed it into a warped instrumental.

Now, Weird World has shared the original recording, titled "Je Me Perds de Vue". The song will be released as the B-side to the "Crystallized" digital single, out March 18 in the U.S. via Fat Possum and elsewhere via Weird World.

Listen to the Unreleased M.I.A. Track "Doobie"

One year ago, M.I.A. delivered unto the world her excellent single "Bad Girls", recorded back in 2007 and produced by Danja (the Timbaland protégé known for his work with the likes of Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears). Now, as Rap-Up points out, Danja has shared another M.I.A. track recorded at the same time, titled "Doobie". He calls it "somewhat of a weird, uptempo, high energy" cut with drums pushed through an arpeggiator.

Check out "Doobie" in the clip below, which finds Danja introducing the song while driving in L.A.; the track comes in at 2:34. Also below, revisit the Grammy-nominated video for "Bad Girls".

Earlier this week, word surfaced that Four Tet's new single has a title long enough to rival even Fiona Apple: "The Track I've Been Playing That People Keep Asking About and That Joy Used in His RA Mix and Daphni Played on Boiler Room." (Read the explanation here.) That's 24 words, if you're counting.

Now Hebden has shared the track as a .wav download, via Twitter. Download it hereUpdate: The track is no longer available at the SendSpace link Hebden provided.

The single will be out on 12" vinyl via his own label, Text.

Drake: "Started From the Bottom" on SoundCloud.

One week early, Drake has come through with "Started From the Bottom", the first single from his upcoming third album. On his October's Very Own blog, he posted this note to accompany the song:

My good friends,

It has truly been too long. I assume you're all keeping well and making the most of this year that has been given to us. Today is the day to begin sharing my newest work with you. This is the first single off of my upcoming album. I feel sometimes that people don't have enough information about my beginnings and therefore they make up a life story for me that isn't consistent with actual events. My family and my second family (consisting of the best friends anybody could ever have) all struggled and worked extremely hard to make all this happen. I did not buy my way into this spot and it was the furthest thing from easy to achieve. I am proud of every part of my past and I'm excited for this song to find a place in your life as well. I didn't feel I needed any interviews or radio or press to launch this song. It felt right to come back to the site that I started on and release it to the people that started here with me. Judging by this post, the tour that we've been planning, the conversations about new songs and album artwork...I think it's safe to say we're back together again. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

"You don't have to ask me how I'm doing...just listen to the music" - K.Samir

XO.

The New My Bloody Valentine Album Will Be Released Tonight

Here's what My Bloody Valentine's Facebook page says: "We are preparing to go live with the new album/website this evening. We will make an announcement as soon as its up." That's right: The band's follow up to 1991's Loveless is coming. Tonight.

Here's "To Here Knows When":

"as a child i thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. but as a man i am not a killer. i'm an artist and a modern person. i'll choose sanity. no criminal charges. no civil lawsuit. forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. peace, albeit trite, is what i want in my short life. peace."

Watch Suede's Video for "It Starts and Ends With You"

Britpop icons Suede (still known as the London Suede in the U.S.) will release their first studio record in over a decade, Bloodsports, March 19 in the U.S. and March 18 in the UK via INgrooves/Fontana (pre-order it here). The band has already let go the album cut "Barriers", and now they've shared a video for the record's first official single, "It Starts and Ends With You".

In a press release, frontman Brett Anderson calls the single "a bittersweet, bouncy pop song" that deals with "infatuation and attraction and the fever of falling head first back into the pit." As mentioned, he also said the record itself is "about lust," "the chase," and "the endless carnal game of love."

My Bloody Valentine Share New Album, mbv; Check Out Cover Art and Tracklist Now

The new My Bloody Valentine album, their follow-up to 1991's Loveless, actually exists-- and tonight the band has attempted to release it. The band's website has been crashing due to server overload since the record was posted, but we've got the cover art, above, and tracklist, below. The record is titled mbv.

UPDATE: The website is back. Buy My Bloody Valentine's new album here.

Also below, find screenshots from the website detailing the digital, vinyl, and CD formats that will be available.

For years, rumors have floated about the new album, including reports that Kevin Shields had scrapped full albums. In 2008, Shields told The New York Times that he was working on a new album. Finally, years after a breakup, reunion shows, and so much teasing, firm news on the album came late last year when the band announced that they'd finished mastering the new album.

"People who like us will immediately connect with something," Shields told NME. "Based on the very, very few people who've heard stuff-- some engineers, the band, and that's about it-- some people think it's stranger than Loveless. I don't."

As bassist Debbie Googe told Drowned in Sound, Shields plays most of the music on the album himself.  "Most of it is stuff Kevin has done, certainly guitar wise. It's been a long process, you know," she said. "The drums have been added then taken off at least once. His brother did them at one point, then Colm [O'Ciosoig] came in and redid them. There's some things Kevin can't do, like the drums or Bilinda [Butcher]'s vocals, but everything else he can, and I'm certainly happy for him to do that."

Last April, Shields told Pitchfork about the new LP:

I'm just finishing a record that I had started in the 90s. It was going to be, like, the next record. But it was already after the band had half split up, and me and Bilinda [Butcher] were left. Then we got back together. I've always said that we were going to make a record again. You never know, we might finish it really quickly, and it might be up in a few months! I tend to work really quickly, suddenly, and I might be willing to do that right now. We'll see!

Last weekend, MBV debuted new music at a show in London.

Watch Beyoncé's Super Bowl Performance

In case you hadn't heard, Beyoncé just headlined one of television's biggest annual events-- Super Bowl XLVII's halftime show. It was awesome.

She danced with a bunch of clones of herself projected on screens behind and below her. Her guitarist played a guitar that shot fireworks. And yes, Destiny's Child were there. Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland were launched out of the floor, and they did "Bootylicious", "Independent Women", and Beyoncé's "Single Ladies". Bey also did "Halo", "End of Time", "Crazy in Love", and "Baby Boy".
