The Beastie Boys were inducted into the the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last weekend, but they aren't resting on their laurels. Mike D has been tapped to curate "Transmission LA: AV Club", a free 17-day music and visual arts festival series at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. For the festival, which takes place April 19-May 5 at the museum's Geffen Contemporary, he's teamed with The Avant/Garde Diaries, an online magazine produced by Mercedes Benz. The lineup includes Santigold, James Murphy, Diplo, Dâm-Funk, Z- Trip, and more.
