Watch Sufjan Stevens, Bryce Dessner, Nico Muhly Perform Three New Compositions in Amsterdam

Last year, the Dutch concert hall Muziekgebouw Eindhoven commissioned Sufjan Stevens, the National's Bryce Dessner, and composer Nico Muhly to collaborate on a song cycle for seven trombones and a string quartet. The trio first tested the resulting compositions, which draw inspiration from the solar system, on March 30 at Cincinnati's MusicNOW Festival in late March. The songs officially debuted last week.
