"Can you ever get tired of moshing along to 'Idiot'?", we asked last year. It's 2013, Wavves are back at SXSW, and here's a firm answer: No. You can't get tired of doing that. Wavves opened their set with "Idiot", and even though Nathan Williams' band has a new album on the way, the group's set at the Life or Death PR showcase at the Scoot Inn only featured two new songs: "Sail to the Sun" and "Demon to Lean On". Despite some sound issues during "Sail to the Sun", the band delivered a tight, solid set. Sure, Williams could've unveiled more new stuff from Afraid of Heights, but at this point, he knows that he's got a pile of catchy, festival-ready tracks in his arsenal.
