The Grammys aftermath has produced another exciting little nugget of information: M.I.A.'s new album Matangi will prominently feature production from Hit-Boy, the producer responsible for monster tracks like "Niggas in Paris" and "Clique". Rap-Up points to a red carpet interview with CBS in which Hit-Boy explained his work with the controversial artist.
"We just locked in the studio and just vibed," he said. "We did seven incredible records... She's really creative. She's doing exactly what comes to her. That's why we were able to crank out that many songs. We just did it."
Matangi is tentatively scheduled for April 15, but nothing has been cemented yet.
