Pitchfork.tv recently spent some time with Julian Lynch, who's fresh off the announcement of his upcoming new album, Lines, out March 26 via Underwater Peoples. Watch him perform stripped down tracks from Lines, which he arranged for the first time shortly before the taping of this segment.
He also discussed how music is more of a hobby than a career. "I'm still sort of making music for my own purposes, just as my own hobby or my own form of stress release on the weekends." He's currently working on his Ph.D in anthropology, and since he's getting ready to teach, music will largely be on the back burner until this summer.
