As Rolling Stone reports, the longlist for the Best Original Song Academy Award has been revealed. Among the 75 potential nominees, the list features some pretty noteworthy possibilities, including Arcade Fire, Fiona Apple, the Black Keys, Karen O, Rick Ross, Adele, and more.
The songs in question are Arcade Fire's Hunger Games track "Abraham's Daughter", Fiona Apple's "Dull Tool" from This Is 40, the Black Keys' "Baddest Man Alive" from The Man With the Iron Fists, Karen O's Frankenweenie track "Strange Love", Rick Ross' Django Unchained track "100 Black Coffins", and naturally, Adele's epic Skyfall theme. Also up for the nod: John Legend, Mumford & Sons, Liz Phair, Katy Perry, Norah Jones, Dolly Parton, and more.
The nominees will be announced on January 10, and the Oscars will be hosted by Seth MacFarlane on February 24.
