Last November, Hüsker Dü/Sugar frontman Bob Mould was honored with a massive tribute show at L.A.'s Walt Disney Concert Hall. Now a Kickstarter has been launched to raise $95,000 for a film documenting the night, which was emceed by Matt Pinfield and featured Mould covers by No Age, Dave Grohl, Spoon's Britt Daniel, Ryan Adams, the Hold Steady's Craig Finn and Tad Kubler, Margaret Cho, and more.
Along with footage from the performances, filmmaker Justin Mitchell captured rehearsals and other moments leading up to the show. Rewards listed on the Kickstarter page include a 7" single, a T-shirt, a collection of prints, personalized thank you notes, autographs, a meet-and-greet with Mould, and more. Anyone who gives $10 or more gets a digital download of the film; $20 or more gets you the DVD.
