Who is Captain Murphy, you may be wondering? Good question. He came onto the collective music internet radar this summer when he showed up on the Flying Lotus/Earl Sweatshirt collaboration "Between Friends", and has since dropped a steady flow of songs without revealing his identity.
The shroud has, naturally led to some speculation: His music sounds a bit like Madvillian's. Some say the warped vocals are Tyler, the Creator's, while others believe he might be Flying Lotus himself. In addition to Earl and FlyLo, he's rapped alongside Azizi Gibson, Jeremiah Jae, and on a beat from TNGHT. Go forth, listen, and take your best guess.
