Brooklyn Academy of Music has announced the lineup for its 2013 winter/spring season. Those who enjoyed this year's Crossing Brooklyn Ferry festival, the BAM-centered event organized by the National's Bryce and Aaron Dessner, will be happy to know that the festival plans on returning for a second year. The 2013 installment will take place on April 25-27, with a lineup announcement forthcoming.
Another tidbit included in BAM's announcement: From March 21-24, the arts mecca will host performances of Planetarium, a collaboration between the Dessners, Sufjan Stevens, and Nico Muhly that also includes seven trombones and a string quartet. BAM describes Planetarium as "an evening of songs and instrumental works inspired by the solar system." Below, watch video of the trio performing three of the compositions earlier this year in Amsterdam.
