The name Giorgio Moroder is probably familiar to you. He's one of the most influential producers of all time, one of the architects of disco. This is the guy who made Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" and the Scarface soundtrack, Blondie's "Call Me" and Berlin's "Take My Breath Away", and hits with Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Janet Jackson, Cher, and more. He's also rumored to be collaborating with Daft Punk on their new record.
He's making a big push to reconcile his old-world disco producer days with his contemporary presence in the form of a very active SoundCloud page, FACT points out. (So active that he had to put some material under a second username).
He's already got the hang of it, using the platform for extended versions of his known work and previously unreleased rarities, including an extended mix of Scarface soundtrack cut "Push It to the Limit". Listen to that above.
Oh yes, and don't forget to check out his very endearing list of "other artists I like" in his profile, which includes Freddie Mercury and Kelly Rowland.
