For Under the Radar's current issue, The Protest Issue, the magazine pulled together a long list of artists to make personalized protest signs. James Blake, EMA, Dum Dum Girls, Matthew Dear, Liars, Janelle Monaé, Dan Deacon, DIIV, of Montreal, Zola Jesus, Shabazz Palaces, Okkervil River, Corin Tucker, Death Cab for Cutie, and many more made signs speaking out about the issue of their choice. Now, those protest signs are being auctioned off on eBay to benefit War Child, which works to help children across the world whose lives have been impacted by war.
"Privacy is a precious cherry," reads Zola Jesus' sign. The Dum Dum Girls carry one that simply says "Planned Parenthood", while EMA's says "Make them bleed."
The auction started this afternoon and ends at 2 p.m. on October 23.
