Watch Bon Iver's Strange, Glowing Video for "Beth/Rest", Taking Place in a Magical Forest

Bon Iver has shared the strange video for his Bon Iver track "Beth/Rest", directed by Justin Vernon himself along with Dan Huiting. (Huiting is a producer for Pitchfork.tv's "City of Music" program and is at work on a feature-length documentary about Bon Iver.)

The hyper-natural clip, starring Bon Iver's Mike Noyce, follows an angelic-looking couple in weird white suits, traveling through a magical wooded forest, cradling otherworldly balls of light, and kissing in clouds of fluorescent fog. Watch it below, via the Huffington Post.

In a press release, Vernon said, "It's kind of about two people who are truly meant for each other and what happens to their essence. How they connect is some other thing that we don't know how to really talk about."

The Beth/Rest 12", out today in the U.S. via Jagjaguwar, is available on vinyl and digital formats and comes backed by an August 2011 live take of the track, recorded at Brooklyn's Rare Book Room studio. The single is out in the UK and Europe November 12 via 4AD.
