This Monday, September 17 marks the one-year anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street movement. To celebrate, on Sunday, September 16, the OWS Guitarmy group will be staging a free concert at New York's Foley Square with Lee Ranaldo, Tom Morello, Das Racist's Kool A.D. (with Weekend Money), My Brightest Diamond, Jello Biafra, and more.
The show will feature performances of political songs like Florence Reece's "Which Side Are You On?". Anyone is welcome to perform with the Guitarmy.
As mentioned earlier this week, the Guitarmy group is also planning a teach-in at Jay-Z's September 28 concert in Brooklyn. These events are all part of greater OWS one-year anniversary celebrations including music, marches, and other actions; more information is here.
