Members of the Russian feminist punk act Pussy Riot have made a video speaking out against Vladimir Putin and thanking their fellow musicians who've shown support for their cause, as MTV reports. "Thank you Madonna! Thank you Red Hot Chili Peppers!", they yell while scaling a building covered in a giant Pussy Riot Poster. "Thank you Björk! Thank you Green Day!" They proceed to burn a picture of Vladimir Putin and declare: "To everyone around the world who stand up together...to fight for our right to be free. Start the Pussy Riot and never stop!"
Three of Pussy Riot's members (not those in the video) await a decision on the appeal they made to their two-year conviction. The sentence came August 17, following their imprisonment on the grounds of "hooliganism motivated by religious hatred."
