As promised, Philip Glass and Beck will give fans a gift for the composer's 75th birthday: On October 23, a star-studded Glass 2xCD remix album will be released through Orange Mountain Music/Ernest Jenning/The Kora Records. Inspired by a conversation between Glass and Beck, it includes reworks of original Glass compositions from Beck himself, Tyondai Braxton (ex-Battles), Amon Tobin, Memory Tapes, Dan Deacon, and more. The full tracklist is below (notice the absence of Oneohtrix Point Never's remix, which was allegedly rejected.)
Glass will celebrate his birthday with a number of other special events, including the ongoing Einstein on the Beach tour, his opera about the final days of Walt Disney and more. Watch Glass perform music from "Glassworks" below.
