The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends, the Flaming Lips' zany collaborative compilation that inspired Ke$ha to send her assistant out on LSD run, was previously only available as a Record Store Day limited edition release (as well as a human blood-splattered ultra special version). On June 26, Warner Bros. will make Heady Fwends available to the rest of us, putting the compilation out digitally and on CD, and adding a yet-unreleased track with Aaron Behrens of Ghostland Observatory.
The Lips are also working on a new album to be released this fall, as well as touring this summer-- dates after the tracklist.
