Detroit-area vinyl obsessives will have to hold on to the contents of their piggy banks, at least for now. The sale of pieces from the vinyl collection of the late production legend J Dilla-- aka James Yancey-- has been halted while his mother Maureen "Ma Dukes" Yancey works to verify the authenticity of the vinyl, according to the The Detroit News (via OkayPlayer). Jeff Bubeck, co-owner of the Royal Oak store UHF that had been selling the vinyl, plans to donate some of the proceeds to to the J Dilla Foundation and Yancey's family.
