Earlier this month, Björk cancelled the final two dates of her Buenos Aires residency due to a nodule on her vocal cords. Today, the Icelandic singer announced on Facebook that her headlining set at Sónar São Paulo, which takes place from May 11-12, has also been cancelled. According to a statement on the festival's website, Björk's doctor said that performing too soon could cause permanent damage to her voice. The good news? Björk says her vocal cords are healing. She wrote via Facebook, "my voice is already a little better after quiettude," and, "the ailment has gone from nodule to polyp."
